The following day, my 8-year old daughter rode her first Lipizzaner.
After her own terribly stubborn little pony and not very reassured on such a big horse in such big riding-school, she gained confidence and discovered what is was to ride a well-trained horse. Since then, she has been riding a 12-year old, completely reliable Lipizzaner gelding that she shows and hacks and he is now her best friend…
On my return home to France, I learnt all about this breed and got in touch with the French Lipizzaner Association.
I then bought my first 2-year old colt.
And off I went in search of a mount while waiting for him to develop. Finding a broodmare with a foal at foot gave me the idea to breed them myself and my enthusiastic breeding instinct took over !
I now had a real project: "to breed Lipizzaners, keeping their marvellous characteristics, their exceptional balance and rusticity which makes them healthy in body, mind and tissue, totally adapted to pluridisciplinary fields."
To date, we possess five broodmares of the best Austrian lineage and three stallions (one, an « Elite »). My aim, as a breeder, is to produce handsome kind horses with movement corresponding to present day demands.
